Corona Cases in Pakistan have crossed the figure of 4000 in Pakistan with 55 deaths across the country.
According to the latest updates issued by a private news channel, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases has gone 4000 with 55 deaths in the country so far.
Giving details from different provinces and regions of Pakistan, the news channel reported 986 cases from Sindh, 2,004 cases from Punjab, 500 cases from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 204 cases from Balochistan, 83 cases from Islamabad Capital Territory, 212 cases from Gilgit-Baltistan and 18 from AJK thus taking the toll to 4007.
Giving details about the deaths so far, the channel reported that due to the deadly coronavirus 17 people have died in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 18 in Sindh, 1 in Balochistan, 3 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 15 in Punjab and 1 in Islamabad Capital Territory thus taking the death toll to 55.
Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah tightens lock-down in Sindh
Sindh CM Murad Ali on Tuesday said that he wanted the type of lock-down in the province that the provincial administration got implemented in the first seven days of the lock-down.
While talking to media, Murad Ali Shah said that the speed of the spread of the coronavirus is quite alarming and it should be curtailed on an emergency basis.
Earlier, he ordered the concerned authorities to remain vigilant during the lock-down and get it implemented in its true spirit.
He asked the security deployed in the province not to let anybody move outside without any solid reason.
He further ordered that no factory should be opened during the lock-down. Earlier on April 7, three factories were sealed in Karachi for continuing their operations during the lock-down.
After getting a piece of advice from the doctors in Sindh that lock-down must be prolonged to curtail the increasing number of coronavirus cases in Sindh, the CM has appealed to the public to stay at home and cooperate with the government to combat the deadly virus.
Coronavirus cases will increase in any case in the future: Dr. Yasmeen
Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid said on Tuesday that the number of coronavirus cases will increase in any case in the future as the speed and limit of the tests were being enhanced in the province.
While talking to media in Lahore, she said that it’s a virus and it will increase in the future as we are enhancing our testing capacity. She requested the people aged sixty or above not to walk out of their house these days as there is a high risk of serious complications for them if they are caught by a coronavirus.
20,000 coronavirus tests per day
Special Assistant for Health to Prime Minister Dr. Zafar Mirza said on Tuesday that the government was taking the number of tests of coronavirus from 6500 to 20,000 per day in the whole country.
While briefing the media, he said that an earlier total of 6500 tests was being conducted throughout the country and now this capacity is being made 20,000 per day in the whole country.
